For the Vandeputte oilseed plant in Belgium, we designed a custom-made version of the Aerox Injector to achieve optimal odor removal for this process.

Vanderputte extracts vegetable oil from seeds through a process called “cold pressing.” Due to odor complaints, Vanderputte commissioned research and testing to determine which processes emit odors and the extent of the odor. Aerox was then commissioned to treat the most odorous airflows. After careful consultation, a condenser was installed before the Aerox unit, allowing moisture and grease to be partially removed.

Customer-specific solution

The optimal solution was to route the air from the oil presses and conditioners through a condenser and then treat it with a compact, energy-efficient Aerox Injector. The treated air is then exhausted through the chimney.
