A modern and tested production process

The first feed producer in Ile de la Réunion chose the Aerox injector to remove odor from its feed production lines.

As the first company on the island to start producing animal feed, Petfood Run is out to capture the competitive market that relies on imports. The plant is dedicated to producing croquettes, a product for feeding dogs and cats. The new plant has a modern production process and maintains high technical standards. The process has been extensively tested, including by dog and cat owners. In addition to wanting to become the island’s largest producer in animal feed, Petfood Run also wants to pursue a number of other goals. For example: to find a use for poultry feed by-products, to develop an expertise within the local agribusiness and to provide an alternative to imports. Ile de la Réunion, locals and tourism

Ile de la Réunion is a beautiful island in the Indian Ocean, located east of Madagascar and southwest of Mauritius. With cities on the coast, year-round tourism and wildlife, companies are much concerned with sustainable production. Odor emissions are also on the list of issues companies are working on. Petfood Run chose Aerox as a supplier of an odor reduction problem because of the durability of the Aerox injector.

Odor control efficient is checked regularly, in order since the beginning

As of spring 2013, an Aerox injector is handling the combined airflow from the extruder, dryer and cooler. The small size of the system allowed it to be installed inside the plant and connected to the main line. The only change for the outside world is the disappearance of the smell of the factory, no changes were made to the outside of the factory. Its effectiveness is regularly monitored but the plant has since met all local odor standards.
