To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in an independent (international) sales role within a technical work environment.
- The ability to connect theory with practice and you have no problem getting your hands dirty.
- International employability and the ability to communicate at all levels, with all facets involved.
- A driven and persistent attitude, and you enjoy working independently.
- Strong commercial focus and customer orientation.
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbal and written.
- No problem with regular travel, which you mainly plan yourself.
In your role as Sales manager, your main duties are:
- Preparation of a market and sales plan and achievement of objectives.
- Creatively and actively find and approach potential markets and customers, and convince them with your commercial arguments, skills and technical insight. You also know better than anyone else what’s going on in the markets.
- Delve into the subject matter of our products and the underlying techniques, and actively follow developments; you will do the same with our customers and their processes.
- Maintain regular contact with our existing clients and build a network of relationships. Customer intimacy and customer lifetime value are obvious to you.
- Collaborate with and remotely manage existing agencies and distributors.
- Elaborate quotations, follow them up and convert as high a percentage as possible into actual orders.
- Administer, share and report your activities related to sales and acquisition.
